What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information your browser stores for a website. Some support essential operation or remember choices; external content can connect your browser to another provider. We therefore do not load Google Maps or reCAPTCHA before your choice.
Essential information and functions
silans_consent stores separate map and form-protection choices, the choice version and confirmation time. Our site sets it for 180 days. It contains no name or email address.
pll_language, when set, remembers your language for up to one year. Administrator login uses WordPress cookies such as wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_*; ordinary visitors do not need these. Login duration depends on the session and “remember me” choice. WordPress may also use a test cookie on the login page.
Google Maps
The map is optional. Enabling it connects to Google, which may receive your IP address and technical information and use its own cookies. The provider determines their duration and behaviour. The address remains visible without the map. Clicking “Get directions” opens Google Maps as a separate external site.
Google reCAPTCHA
Contact-form protection loads after a separate choice. Google analyses technical signals to identify automated requests and may set _GRECAPTCHA. Google determines its duration; see the official reCAPTCHA explanation. This check does not protect against every virus or guarantee freedom from spam.
If you do not enable this service, you can still browse and contact us on 060 164 1234 or by email. Sending through the protected form requires enabling and completing the check.
Making and withdrawing choices
You can accept all optional services, keep essentials only, or enable Maps and reCAPTCHA separately. Optional settings are off initially. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing permission refreshes the page to stop further loading of that service.
Withdrawal does not erase information already sent to Google. Existing third-party cookies can be removed through browser settings. Deleting our preference cookie or reaching its 180-day expiry prompts a new choice. See the Privacy policy for processing and rights.
Analytics and advertising measurement
With your separate consent, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to measure visits, traffic sources, calculator use, phone and email clicks, and successfully received enquiries. A phone click does not confirm a completed call. We do not send message text, visitor names, email addresses, phone numbers or names entered in obituary and schedule searches to Google. Personal-content URLs are reduced to general categories and search parameters are removed.
Microsoft Clarity is enabled through a separate website-improvement choice. It provides click maps, scrolling data and session replays. We use strict text masking and additionally mask forms and obituary fragments. Recording is disabled on contact, calculator, schedule and obituary pages, and on URLs containing query parameters. We do not connect recordings to visitors’ contact details.
Advertising measurement is a separate choice that requires analytics consent. It may associate a visit and enquiry with a Google ad using a technical click identifier. Ad personalisation, Google Signals and remarketing remain disabled. Google and Microsoft may process technical data, including device data and IP addresses within their services, outside Serbia. Optional measurement starts only after your choice. You can decline it and continue using the website. Withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer. This stops future measurement and removes accessible measurement cookies on our domain; it does not automatically delete data already collected. Send requests to pomoc@pogrebnosilans.com.
Measurement cookies and duration
Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_* with statistics consent; our site sets a 180-day duration. Microsoft Clarity may use _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (up to one day). With ad measurement enabled, _gcl_* cookies may be used, typically for up to 90 days. Names and duration may change with service versions. The single-use enquiry receipt silans_lead_receipt lasts at most five minutes and contains no contact details. A local marker prevents recounting the same enquiry within the same browser tab.
